- We will evaluate the fault or faults and quote you cost of repair.
- If you wish to go ahead with repair we will require credit or debit card details.
- We will complete repair and return the laptop to you.
- Average turn around depends on parts availability but we aim to quote within 3 days and return with 12 days.

Advice
Things to remember when repairing your laptop out of warranty
- If possible try to do a data backup before sending the computer back.
- If you cannot make a back up ensure that the repairers know this and ask them to take care of the hard disk and all the information stored on it, but beware - not many will take responsibility if data is lost.
- Ask the repairers if they charge an inspection fee and whether this fee is redeemable against the final cost of the repair if you decide to go ahead.
- Also ask the repairers if they provide a warranty on the repair they carry out and if so, how long will it last?
- Most repair agents require you to apply for a returns number (tracking number) before returning the laptop. Once you have this number, keep it safe because you will probably need to quote this in any further communications with the repairers.
- Always pack the laptop well. If at all possible use the original packing the computer came in. It is commonplace in repair departments to find that when laptops arrive from customers they have far more problems because of bad packing. Also make sure you use an insured carrier and that the insurance will cover the cost of the computer if it is lost.
Questions to ask when you have had the repair quote
- What is the cost of a replacement for your computer. Is it worth continuing with the repair or just call it a day and buy a new one?
- How long will the repair take?
- Is it worth upgrading while the laptop is back with the repairers?
- How long do I have to make a decision on whether to go ahead?
- Keep in mind that if it is not feasible to repair the computer some repair agents may waive certain charges (perhaps the inspection fee) if you leave the laptop with them. They can then use parts from your machine to repair other units at better cost.
